Prove Yourself a Man

Prove yourself a man in a biblical sense. King David is passing down a life long legacy to Solomon his son. His words are wise and this passage speaks to the 6 Day Man principles.

1 Kings 2:1-3

Now the days of David drew near that he should die, and he charged Solomon his son, saying:

“I go the way of all the earth; be strong, therefore, and prove yourself a man.

And keep the charge of the LORD your God:

  • to walk in His ways, (righteousness)

  • to keep His statutes, (feasts, festivals and rituals)

  • His commandments, (10 Commandments)

  • His judgments, and (will)

  • His testimonies, (evidence, witness ie. Miracles- Red Sea, Ark of the Covenant)

as it is written in the Law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn;

King David the Presider over Israel is passing away and passing on his legacy to his son Solomon. What does David Provide Solomon?

  • A spiritual legacy - be faithful to God

  • An emotional legacy - be strong - encouragement

  • A financial legacy - the kingdom and all it’s riches

David admonishes Solomon to be faithful to God - Partnership, and so experience blessing and Protection.
