Prove Yourself a Man
Prove yourself a man in a biblical sense. King David is passing down a life long legacy to Solomon his son. His words are wise and this passage speaks to the 6 Day Man principles.
1 Kings 2:1-3
Now the days of David drew near that he should die, and he charged Solomon his son, saying:
“I go the way of all the earth; be strong, therefore, and prove yourself a man.
And keep the charge of the LORD your God:
to walk in His ways, (righteousness)
to keep His statutes, (feasts, festivals and rituals)
His commandments, (10 Commandments)
His judgments, and (will)
His testimonies, (evidence, witness ie. Miracles- Red Sea, Ark of the Covenant)
as it is written in the Law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn;
King David the Presider over Israel is passing away and passing on his legacy to his son Solomon. What does David Provide Solomon?
A spiritual legacy - be faithful to God
An emotional legacy - be strong - encouragement
A financial legacy - the kingdom and all it’s riches
David admonishes Solomon to be faithful to God - Partnership, and so experience blessing and Protection.
